I’ll be giving away exactly 100 accounts in this contest. There are two ways in which you can enter this contest. The more ways you enter, the better chance you have of winning, so don’t hold back!

If you comment on this post, all you have to do is finish the sentence: “I love WordPress because…” and it will be counted as an entry. Make sure to include your name and e-mail when commenting.

Edit: If you follow me on Twitter, reply back (@wpcandy) saying “I love WordPress because…” and it will be counted as an entry.

Terms and Conditions

You have until the end of this month, February 29th, to enter. Winners will be announced the week of March 3rd, depending on how tired I am after Future of Web Apps*.
There must be a total of at least 100 comments and follows (between all participants combined) before February 29th for this contest to stay valid.

It’s March 1st and the contest is over, but about only half of what was needed to keep the contest valid, was completed. I thought a bit about this last night because I knew there wouldn’t be enough comments / follows by today, so I’ve decided to just give everyone who entered an account. I know, I know, once again I have screwed up a contest. You’re probably thinking contests on WPCandy are a joke. But oh well, I’ll eventually learn. So ~~today~~ for the next few days, I will be e-mailing all participants a coupon code for a free account. Thank you.

I love WordPress because it’s easy to setup and you can use it for just about anything. Any if it’s lacking any kind of functionality, it’s pretty easy to write your own plugin.

I love WordPress because it’s utterly brilliant. It makes having a professional looking presence on the web simple for non-techies, so that I can help people like my parents and friends without investing a huge amount of time and work, and yet it still provides enough flexibility and sophistication for more tech-savvy folks to be a terrific foundation for more complex applications.

My timing is horrible.

I buy a copy of Rockstar Freelancer and Collis sends me a free copy the next day.

I buy a membership at WPdesigner and less than a week later he’s giving away 20,000 accounts. Damnit!

I love Wordpress because…well, I didn’t love it at all until about noon today, before that I sometimes hated it and other times was lukewarm about it.

For the past few months, I have been struggling on the Wordpress learning curve but just this morning I was able to complete a weekend project that included fixing several things about my site that I were bugging me. Feels great to have my site just the way I want it and I learned so much too!

One thing led to another and now I finally understand why people love Wordpress and I can honestly say I do too. Mainly because I began getting some traffic with little effort pretty quickly after I started blogging; also, now I am beginning to truly understand how customizable Wordpress is.
