• New To The RSS Feed Reader

Is it just me, or do you guys have tons of blogs in your RSS reader? As of today, I have a total of 36 items in my RSS reader. Woah. The following are some blogs I’ve recently added to my reader.

    WP Themes Gallery

WP Themes Gallery, managed by Artur Kim, is as blog about WordPress. WPTG is also the home to a gallery and the Top 40 Blogs About WordPress.

    Design Vitality

Design Vitality is a blog about web design, graphic design, and other web-related resources. DV also currently has a WordPress Theme Design Competition.

    Justin Tadlock

Justin Tadlock is a blog, run by Justin Tadlock himself, about his life, blogging, and WordPress. He’s also been generous enough to let us advertise on his site for free!

    Darren Hoyt

Darren Hoyt, also run by Darren Hoyt himself, is a blog about WordPress and other design-related material. He’s recently written an extension to our tutorial on Adding Buttons To The Post Editor.

Dude, that’s nothing. Soon, you’ll be up to over a hundred! Every time I go over a hundred I try to eliminate some feeds that aren’t providing strong value, but it’s tough with all the great stuff out there. Right now I just purged a few and I’m at 94. I know guys that have 300+ subscriptions.

We must be on the same wavelength — I was just drafting a long post about organizing feeds and bookmarks. In Netvibes, I’ve currently got 62 feeds in 7 categories; in Bloglines, I’ve got 260 feeds (including WpCandy) in 9 categories. I recently tried to pare things down but couldn’t do it! I’m a slave to the design & development blogs.

    Haha wow!

@Michael Martine: Hook a brotha up! Let me in on some sites you’ve got the RSS Feed for.

@Bram: I’ll be updating the post soon with some others I’ve added.

@Darren Hoyt: 260 feeds? I’d never get off my computer with 260 feeds. Haha. And hey, how do you like Bloglines and Netvibes? I’ve yet to try them out.

If I miss 2-3 days, I return to find 300+ posts waiting to be read. Needless to say, I look for the interesting post titles, read them, and then hit “Mark all as read”.

    I’m with Darren, “I’m a slave to the design & development blogs”…totally!

I don’t know how many I have anymore. I’m kind of starting over again, just using bookmarks. Recently, I’ve bookmarked this site, Blog Perfume and Hack WordPress.

Minus podcasts (which are in Miro), I have 122 feeds in Google Reader. Doesn’t take long to go through them, unless it’s full of big articles/tutorials.
