2. Import monthly xml export files
3. It is helpful to know you can refresh during the import if for one reason or another, the uploaded file times out. WordPress recognizes if posts and content has already been imported.
4. Month by month imports actually made the transfer successfully on this media heavy blog. A single 4.2MB import file and associated media was not the way to go.In the end, I have most of the Media imported attached to posts.
