First up for review, is a WordPress theme called WoodPress. This is one of the submissions we have received for review. When I first saw it, I immediately fell in love.
In this theme review, being my first, I’ll try to be as lengthy and precise as possible. Most importantly, I’ll be touching on the pros and cons of this theme. So let’s dive right in!
WoodPress Description:
WoodPress is a clean and simple 2-column WordPress Theme. It uses a smooth wood background with green, white, and orange text. It also has a Flickr steam and an ad box built into the sidebar.
WoodPress Pros:
- Clean and simple
- Good color scheme
- Fast loading
- Free!
- Valid XHTML & CSS
- RSS Enabled
WoodPress Cons:
- I seriously can’t think of any (again)
My Opinion On WoodPress:
WoodPress is a perfect WordPress theme for personal blogs. It gives me the feel that I’m at home! I personally love wood backgrounds on sites, so WoodPress is right up my alley.

The colors and type looks great but the background isn’t a high quality one. Altho loading times would be an issue perhaps the designer should look at a better quality image?

It is encouraging to see that good design does not have to be complicated. Sometimes, simple can look really good. And it is good to say so.
The links background colors are so going with the wood wallpaper. Nice work!
