• Your Chance To Win On WPCandy: Update!

WPCandy is having a contest, and we want you to take part in it. What’s up for grabs? Adriaan Pienaar’s Premium News Theme, a $99 value! You may have already seen some contests like this, but heck. We want to give our loyal visitors and subscribers something to win. This is our first contest, which is very exciting, so we’re going to make it easy and simple.

Read more on how to participate in this contest!

We’ve decided to give you 3 options to participate in winning the Premium News Theme:

    1. Post about WPCandy on your blog. This means you can write anything (good) about us (make sure to leave a trackback).
    2. Write a simple comment below saying what you would like to see from WPCandy in the future.
    3. Complete option #1 and #2: Post about WPCandy and write a comment (better chance of winning).

That’s all you have to do to participate in the contest! Now for the judging part. We’ll decide the winner who participated the most and had the best comment and/or post on their blog. Your best chance to win is obviously to do both parts of the contest.

We’re going to give you guys until the morning of Monday, November 12th to participate. The quicker you post/comment the better chance of winning. So get to it!

The winner will then be announced on the evening of Monday, November 12th. So stay tuned! We wish you all good luck and we look forward to doing more contests in the future.

UPDATE: Due to personal reasons, I will be rescheduling the contest winner this upcoming week. Please stay tuned.

I think what WP Candy has done so far has been great, but I’d love to see more spotlights on WordPress developers and WordPress-powered sites, especially ones that go outside of the typical WordPress blog sites that we’re used to seeing 100 times a day.

Keep up the great work, and here’s hoping I’ll win the contest!

I really could not believe that your site is only 1-month old (or young) and it already had such great stats.

I hope you could feature more free rare/undiscovered WordPress themes in the future. I have posted about your blog on mine but I don’t think it’s sending trackbacks so here’s the link: http://monsterblog.kotsengkuba.com/2007/11/wpcandy-for-scholars-of-ust.html

Good luck and more great stats for your site. It’s nice to be here :P

I think it only sends trackbacks when your blog is powered by WordPress.

A trackback will be sent depending on the blogging platform used. I know WordPress usually aumotically sends one, and some other platforms do as well, but not all.

Actually what I would love to see more of on WPcandy are photoshop and possibly fireworks tutorials, detailing how to implement graphics produced by those tools with WordPress themes.

Thats rather nice idea. Me and Mike are thinking about writing tutorials, but it just fit in time to make them in an already busy schedule.
But keep checking back we’ll get round to it asap.

I’m already an RSS subscriber, so once you guys slap some interesting articles up, I’ll implement some of your ideas onto my blog. :) Recently picked up Adobe CS3 Web Premium, so I’m really pushing to learn as much as I can.

I loved your header tutorial, but was never able to get it to work properly.
