Follow WordPress weekly with the newly launched wpMail.me

wpMail.me is a new project started by Cristian Antohe that describes itself as “a concise, once-weekly free roundup of WordPress news and articles.” The email list sends out an email each week with a curated list of what’s new in the world of WordPress.

If you want more WordPress in your inbox, check out their example issues and join the list yourself.

What’s your favorite way of catching up on the WordPress community? RSS, Twitter, or email lists like this? What do you rely on the most?

  1. It’s a good idea (even though WPCandy has been doing the same for quite some time now) and I’m sure mailing lists work great for some people. However for me e-mail also works as a to-do list, so I prefer to get the news either via RSS and Twitter during the week and a roundup on WPCandy and go through them whenever I have the time.

  2. 1) I have an issue with WordPress Weekly, shame. Isn’t using WordPress a big nono?
    2) Jeff Chandler of WPTavern’s podcast is called WP Weekly so this mailing list thing is using same name, shame.

That was the part I was refering to. It can be interpreted in not the way Christian might intend.

  3. Thank you for writing about it!

Actually I am using WordPress to generate the newsletter and copy paste the html in MailChimp just that I do that on a dev server for now. I didn’t really had a chance to move it the main domain. I’m hoping to do that in the following weeks together with implementing a mailchimp plugin that will publish the newsletter to mailchimp using the API 🙂

As for the name confusion, I would have liked to have wpweekly or something around that but the domains were all taken so wpmail.me it was!
