Via a partnershpi with iSoftStone, Automattic has released the WordPress for Windows Phone 7 app. Isaac Keyet explained the thinking and excitement behind the new app on the WordPress.com blog:

Sometimes things just work out. When Microsoft announced Windows Phone 7, a complete remake of the Windows Phone platform, we all got very excited. The simplicity of the platform is unheard of, with the target being to “spend less time on your phone – and get to the things you want to do quicker”. A perfect platform for a WordPress app to enable blogging while on the move.

All typical WordPress actions are available in this first version of the app: writing and editing both posts and pages, uploading photos, and moderating comments. The next version of the app will likely include video uploading as well. Also following suit, the new app is open source and anyone is welcome to contribute to its development.

An introductory video to the Windows Phone 7 app is just after the jump. You can also follow @wpwindowsphone on Twitter for updates on the app.

Are there any devices without WordPress apps now? Maybe printers? Oh, and coffee machines.
