For testers: WordPress 3.1 Beta 2 is now available

WordPress 3.1 is now in its second beta, ready for testing. Andrew Nacin posted the announcement on the WordPress news blog:

Already have a test install that you want to switch over to the beta? Try the beta tester plugin. Please test 3.1 on a test site, not on your live site, as interactions with plugins that haven’t been updated may be unpredictable, and we can’t predict (see how that works?) whether something will break or not… that’s why we’re asking people to help us test everything! :)

If you tested the first beta, you should jump on the second today as well. Use the w-testers mailing list to report any bugs you encounter.

Alright, fess up: who can’t wait for WordPress 3.1 to land, officially?

  1. Ryan,
    Yea already 🙂
I’m on the edge of my seat and gladly anticipate the arrival. Same date as the total lunar eclipse? May have to decide which event to attend 🙂
Any heads up on actual release date yet? Are we waiting for Christmas?

Loving the anticipation nonetheless and making sure I for one am ready.
What are the things you are most eager to see in place? Certainly it is the little things that make a big difference and this release has a significant little load of them 🙂
