The WordCamp Miami organizers are doing what they can to organize jobs for their attendees. During registration they found that not only did a good number of those coming this weekend need work, but there were a number of others looking to hire professionals as well. Smells like opportunity, right?
Anyone that will be at WordCamp Miami that is interested in work should head over to the WordCamp Miami blog and fill out their job interest form so they can hook you up with the right people. Lists will be printed and handed out so that the mutually interested folk can find one another.
Do you think WordCamps should do more to help attendees find work, and find professionals to hire? Have you ever found a paying gig, or something more, at a WordCamp?
And I wouldn’t blame anyone for showing an interest in Miami work, either. Back home for me, in Indiana, it’s raining right now. Plus even when it’s not raining, it’s Indiana. Where’s that application link again?
