Turn your WordPress blog into an app with JoeMobi

For those of you that are looking to expand your accessibility, SpeakFeel may just have what you’re looking for. They recently launched a beta for their JoeMobi mobile app which will allow you to create a mobile app for your blog.

All you have to do is install their plugin on your blog, create your logo and icons, and use their application creation system. Once you’re all done, within minutes, you’ll have an app that you can distribute via a marketplace or direct download.

As of right now, only Android and Blackberry versions are available. iOS versions are coming soon. How have you tackled the move to mobile devices?

  1. Currently Free, but any idea on pricing models long term? Are they going with a similar model that WiziApp is with, basing it off of # push notifications and whether or not you can include your own ads.

  2. It reads as Android and BlackBerry only, yet their Features page mentions iPhone…

“Users of different smartphone platforms — like iPhone, Android and BlackBerry — are accustomed to using their devices in different ways. Your users will get the experience they expect from an app on their device, without you having to know the intricacies of mobile user interaction.”

  3. Hi all! Thanks for the great write-up on JoeMobi. Just wanted to answer a couple of questions that have come up…

We haven’t determined our pricing structure yet, but there will be paid and ad-supported versions. Monetization will also be available.

iPhone and Windows Phone versions are planned, but we don’t have a timeline on those. We want to work out all the bugs in our platform first so that we can make sure our users have the best possible experience.
