ThemeSorter, a commercial theme search engine run by Steven Gliebe, has seen a recent update to its search interface. After crossing their milestone of cataloging 1,000 themes (now 1,046), Gliebe has introduced a realigned homepage and a number of new features.
Custom RSS feeds and email subscriptions can be generated based on what sort of updates a user wants, and quick demo links are now available for listed themes as well. Below each theme’s entry a list of “similar themes” will display based on the theme’s niche and categories.
Gliebe is doing quite a job, and clearly putting a lot of time into, categorizing — perhaps he would prefer “sorting” — commercial themes to be more easily found. Have you ever used ThemeSorter, or something similar, to find the perfect theme to purchase? Or do you tend to only purchase themes from a couple of providers that you’ve chosen?
