Shawn Hesketh launches WP101 Tutorial Plugin, help videos in your Dashboard

WP101 Tutorial Plugin, freshly launched by Shawn Hesketh earlier today, delivers WP101 help videos directly into the WordPress Dashboard. The plugin integrates with the monthly WP101 membership by requiring an API key to display the videos. The plugin can be used on an unlimited number of sites, as long as the API key is entered.

WordPress lead developer Mark Jaquith built the plugin for WP101, via his Covered Web Services consultancy. When active (see the image on the right) the plugin is reminiscent of Jaquith’s own WP Help plugin.

Standard subscriptions from WP101 are $48/month, but the first 50 to sign up for the new plugin will pay only $24/month.

Hesketh has run WP101 (down at the time this was written) since 2008, providing helpful screencasts for WordPress users, marketed toward developers to use for their clients.

What do you think of the new release from Hesketh and WP101? Will you check out the tutorial videos now that they can show up easily in your (and your clients’) Dashboards?

  1. Hey, thanks for helping us spread the word, Ryan. We hope this plugin becomes an invaluable resource for WordPress designers, developers, and consultants, helping them to teach their clients WordPress basics and freeing up their time!

Thanks again. You guys are the best.

  2. seems a bit expensive compared to Video user manuals (normal price is 24$) and you also get a written manual in the dashboard as well as a pdf
