Plugins go mano-a-mano in the Battle of the Plugins

Battle of the Plugins is a recently launched competition site that pits plugin against plugin, where user vote determines the victor. Plugins are grouped depending on their function: SEO plugins are together, backup plugins are together — I think you get the idea. Top spots in October were taken by WordPress SEO by Yoast, W3 Total Cache, Google Analyticator, and a handful of others.

To vote for your favorite, head over to the Battle of the Plugins battles page and find the category you want. Voting is as simple as clicking the heart icon to give the plugin some love. That’s it. The plugin with the most votes is listed at the top, as a champion should be.

If you aren’t sure what to vote for, the plugins have a handy download button so you can try them out for yourself. If you have a plugin you want to submit or a battle you think should be added, they have some handy forms to sending those in. It’s probably best to dress as a mighty gladiator while you do so too. Just a thought.

    • Agreed, I see no point in a competition of this nature. As a developer of WordPress for years, I’m actually kind of offended at the idea.

  1. As of this week the website got a complete redesign and redecoration, for those interested. Even though a lot of things have changed, the primary purpose of the website is kept intact: to provide a better and more fun way to rate, share and discuss your favorite WordPress plugins. I’d love to hear what your thoughts are on it.
