WordPress developer Michael Fields has announced he has officially joined Automattic as a Theme Wrangler. In a reply on Twitter, Fields explained that he was particularly inspired after attending WordCamp San Francisco and applied afterward.
Theme Wranglers at Automattic are entirely focused on WordPress themes, mainly for WordPress.com. The team of Theme Wranglers also includes a number of folks who contributed to Twenty Eleven when WordPress 3.2 was released: Matias Ventura, Ian Stewart, and Lance Willett (see the Credits page in your Dashboard footer).
Be sure to wish Michael congratulations on the new position on Twitter or in the comments below.
Yay for Michael!
