To celebrate the third annual CSS Naked Day, WPCandy has gone naked. I have temporarily removed our stylesheet to honor Web designers and Web standards. In fact, if you personally know a Web designer, thank him/her today!
“The idea behind this event is to promote Web Standards. Plain and simple. This includes proper use of (x)html, semantic markup, a good hierarchy structure, and of course, a good ‘ol play on words. It’s time to show off your .”
What does this have to do with WordPress? Not much, actually. Except that quite a few blogs (powered by WordPress) that I read have participated in this event. I thought I’d make a post just to notify you guys that WPCandy participated in this event and we didn’t just delete our stylesheet by accident.
Tsk tsk, your headings are all messed up (Logo should be a h1, posts should be h2, etc) π
That was an interesting event to partake in. I am now really thankful for CSS, even more so than before. I actually had trouble reestablishing the style sheets to the blog and had to restore them from a backup. Yeow! Your blog didn’t look all that bad without the stylesheets.
YAY Mikey! … Well yea I did enter my sites in CSS Naked Day I heard it from my friend …. I thought it was kinda funny so I decided to enter. Glad you did too.
I admit when I saw it last night I was about to send you a tweet and tell you somethings wrong with your page, until I saw your post lol π
I was naked too. It’s refreshing!
Thank god you put your CSS back on, its fun for a short while but design is a good thing π I feel very scared and alone when I see a site without its clothes on…
What a cool idea…should show that to a few clients, maybe then they’ll see what they’re getting for their money! ; )
