StudioPress has announced the launch of Genesis Theme Framework v1.3. This release primarily brings significant enhancements to SEO options, including control of the doctitle on the homepage, individual posts, pages and various archives, page speed improvements, robots meta control, canonical control and more.

With v1.3 also comes an in-depth security audit by WordPress Lead Developer Mark Jaquith. Of the audit, Jaquith says:

[StudioPress] were very responsive to my suggestions, and the result is a theme framework that follows all the WordPress security best practices. It’s clear StudioPress made security a priority when developing Genesis and from a security standpoint, Genesis 1.3 is at the top of its class.

A complete listing of new features in Genesis Theme Framework v1.3 is available here. An in-depth explanation of new SEO features can be found here.
