Cory Miller announced this month that as part of the 3rd anniversary of iThemes Giving Back event, they will be giving away WordPress t-shirts. iThemes posted this about giving back to the WordPress community with swag:
At iThemes, we use and love WordPress. In fact, we’ve built an entire business on this beautiful free software. Although we have given back to the WordPress community in numerous ways, from free themes, plugins and training to core patches and sponsoring WordCamps around the world, we want to encourage others to give back by donating to the recently established WordPress Foundation.
So how do you get a shirt? First, you need to donate more than $50 to the WordPress Foundation from January 11th, 2011 to January 31st, 2011. Next, email your mailing address, shirt size, PayPal donation receipt from the WordPress Foundation to [email protected].
Then all you have to do is wait a few weeks (2-4) for your free “Powered by WordPress” gear! Who already has one of these free t-shirts on the way?
$50 for a t-shirt is a bit ridiculous. I can just buy one from the swag store for $15…
I think it was more about the donation than the shirt 🙂
