David Airey, a logo/identity designer and well known design blogger, has released his old site designs as a WordPress theme, free for anyone to download.

Airey hiring Randa Clay, a WordPress designer and developer, to clean up his code and update the theme for public release. As of the latest update on trac, the theme is pending review for inclusion in the WordPress Theme Directory. In the meantime the theme, deemed “David Airey 1.0”, can be downloaded and demoed at Airey’s blog.

Airey blogs (and published a book) at Logo Design Love, and most recently is the editor at Identity Designed. You can follow him on Twitter at @davidairey.

The process of fixing up one’s old personal site designs and releasing them as free WordPress themes is a common practice. Heck, doing so more often might even improve the state of design within the WordPress Theme Directory. Are there any old site designs you could be cleaning up and releasing for free? Why don’t you?
