AWeber Communications just announced some new features for their WordPress Web Form plugin. This new addition allows readers to subscribe to an email list while commenting on a blog post.
The new version of the WordPress Web Form plugin retains all of the old features. But upon updating, or installation of the new version, users can activate and select the list that subscribers will be subscribed to. Now when a reader leaves a comment, they have the option of checking a box to subscribe to the list that’s been setup. A pane will also be added to your dashboard to track your subscription numbers.

Do you use AWeber to collect emails, or do you even manage a mailing list? It would seem that this sort of easy signup process would increase mailing list numbers, but what do you think?
Wow, this is awesome not only will this update benefit the WordPress administer but the user as well. I can really see a website acquiring more return readers/users if they choose to invest into this service. Also, with the new pane that will be right on the dashboard to greet them when they log in is a major benefit because they will get a feel of the “numbers” almost in an instance.
Happy to see that AWeber continues to improve their integration with WordPress.
FYI: If you are using a different mailing list service (like Mailchimp) there is a nifty plugin called Newsletter Sign-up that integrates the same feature. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/newsletter-sign-up/
