  2. What are you looking for in Theme Wrangler?

I’ve considered myself more of a wild server wrangler, but inevitably when my friends and I discuss WordPress, I get more look-and-feel or “how did you make it do that?” questions than anything else. I’m also finding more and more that I get a bigger kick out of making things look nice and function well than I do from staring at terminal windows anyhow. And truth be told, CSS & the Codex are far more kindred spirits than VIM and Bash. My current job also finds much more value in what I can do for looks.

I’m guessing, though, that you’re looking for people who already have written and released some custom themes and theme plugins, or at least people whose own blogs have been re-themed sometime in the last few years. Still, as I work on a few themes over the next week or two, I’ll have fun imagining myself with a WordPress cowboy hat and rope 😉

  3. Ah, I’d misread the attributive tags & thought Matt wrote this. Oh well. Still I hope we’ll hear more. 🙂

  4. @Paul It *is* awesome. We live and breathe WP themes, day in and day out.

If anyone has questions about being a Theme Wrangler drop me a line at lance [at] automattic [dot] com. I’d be happy to chat with you about it.
