ArtKid child theme for Startbox launched, designed for artists’ portfolios

Brian Richards of the (still relatively new) theme framework Startbox has announced his latest child theme, ArtKid. ArtKid is designed specifically for artists with portfolios, with a relevant custom post type and custom widget for displaying artwork.

Richards describes the theme:

The theme features a custom post type called Artwork, helping you to separate your portfolio from your blog content. However, if you’re already set with all your artwork as posts, no problem! Theme options allow you to select what type of content to feature on the homepage (normal Posts or Artwork posts), how many posts to feature and whether or not to limit the homepage to a specific category. Other options also give you control over showing the artwork’s title and/or post date and controls for thumbnail size.

The new theme is available to pre-order Startbox members, and will be available on ThemeGarden “very soon.”
