WPCandy Podcast 26: Easy WordCamp applause edition

It’s time again on WPCandy for another podcast about WordPress. Of course, saying it’s “about WordPress” is a bit unnecessary right? Would you expect it to be a podcast about tacos?

In this episode Brian Krogsgard and I discuss the WordPress news that interested us the most in the last week. That includes the 3.3 feature freeze, the state of WordPress marketplaces, and how WordCamp Louisville was last weekend.

Link-wise, this week we discussed:

Brian’s pick was a snippet of code he pulled from Noel Tock’s work at Theme Force. Mine was oEmbed Gist, a plugin I like but have yet to try, that I found via Remkus de Vries.

  1. Great podcast again! And I wanted to come back to you regarding the sound : it is much better now, perfectly audible. Thanks for the changes!

  2. I would love a link to the article/post referenced about when buddypress should or should not be used… It really sounds like a great article but i cant find it!

  3. Thx for the mention of the kickstarter and Pods!

2.0 has an entirely new UI, and tons of new features that makes Pods a very comprehensive plugin for developing just about any type of content. There’s lots of functionality built-in, and so many goodies ready for developers to use.

Looking forward to showing you all Pods 2.0 when it’s ready and doing a screencast to show you all the awesome features. I’m sure you’ll find plenty of reasons to use Pods where you may have not had before.
