WPCandy Plugin

No we haven’t created a plugin. Although me and Mike would like to create some plugins to make to make it easier for you all. Whats that? Tell us your ideas? Hmmm maybe not at the moment, maybe sometime in the future. Maybe a project for me and Mike in the upcoming months?

Anyway back to the subject, there is a plugin that shares our name. The WPCandy plugin allows you to add snippets of text or as the plugin says “a candy” into a specific location on a page without having to add it into the theme manually all the time.

iWPhone

Now everyone who loves technology knows that a mobile phone called the iPhone rocked the world earlier this year and Apple said that you would be able to create 3rd party apps for it.

Well what Steve Jobs meant was you could create 3rd party web applications for the iPhone, not native ones. So the internet had a boom in iPhone only web apps, but someone with a smart brain decided to take advantage of the web apps and create an amazing plugin for WordPress.

Dash-Note Plugin

I was talking to Mike last week telling him that wouldn’t it be great if WordPress had a page where you could specifically keep all of your notes and any little snippets of ideas, etc. that could be saved in WordPress for the administrators’ eyes only.

Dash-Note

After doing a little search on Google to see if there was a plugin available I found great plugin called Dash-Note. This plugin allows you to write up notes and ideas on the WordPress dashboard. Great! So if you have several draft posts with lots of links, ideas, or just random stuff, you can keep them all in your notes rather than a draft post.

Dash-Note is also easily customizable, as long as you know CSS and can get to the CSS file. The installation is as simple as any other plugin, just add it to wp-content/plugins/ and activate it via the plugin menu on the WordPress dashboard.

Inline Posts Plugin

The inline posts plugin is a great extra for WordPress. To start using it, its as simple as downloading and activating it. The idea of this plugin is that all your posts go on one page, but you might want one or two posts on one of your static pages you have created. So this plugin allows you have that post on the static page as well as the front page.

WP PageNavi

WP PageNavi is an excellent way to manage masses of content into a user-friendly navigation. Instead of having the standard WordPress next post and previous post it has a list of the page numbers or posts. This enables the user to navigate there way through the website with complete ease and not having to click through post after post to get to the article they are after.
