Thord Daniel Hedengren loathes shortcodes

Posted by Ryan Imel on September 28, 2011

Thord is frustrated by shortcodes, and based on how most developers implement them I can understand his frustration. Maybe I refer to them too often, but my functionality plugin and custom options screen posts come to mind. I’ll expand on this another time, but in short: I have much love for shortcodes and think they should seldom live outside of small, lightweight plugins.
