About WPCandy

WordPress is growing every day—growing in downloads, growing as a content management system, and growing as a developer’s tool. With that daily growth comes a community that is harder and harder to keep track of. The WordPress community is thriving and strong, trust us!

At WPCandy, we wrangle all the important stuff together so you can enjoy it with a cup of coffee. Let us do the work, you keep blogging, creating, and developing awesome things. Oh, but let us know when you’re done so we can tell everyone.

If you’re looking for the best WordPress community content around, look no further.

WPCandy launched on October 1st, 2007 under the management of Michael Castilla. In early 2010 Ryan Imel acquired and relaunched the blog, which is what you see now.

What is WordPress?

If you’re brand new to WordPress, that’s okay too. Maybe you’ve fired up your blog for the first time and are just now getting into the swing of publishing to your website using WordPress. If that’s the case, congratulations! You might be most interested in our ever-growing beginner’s section, or maybe our theme and plugin news sections.

In short, WordPress is a blogging tool that anyone can use to set up a website. You can set up a site using a dedicated WordPress host, or download and install WordPress yourself. We can help you get started with WordPress if you want to learn more, and of course we’re always available if you have questions.
