Brian Casel is a freelance web designer in New York who has started a theme business at ThemeJam, and has recently released a niche theme called WPBids. This is a part of WPCandy’s Indie Interview series, where we interview entrepreneurs building businesses around WordPress.
In this interview we discuss a number of interesting things with Brian, including:
- The differences between developing site for clients and building WordPress themes for a customer base.
- The competition within the themes industry right now, and where ThemeJam fits in.
- WPBids, and building web apps using WordPress.
- How long it took to launch ThemeJam, and the amount of work involved with building a theme business.
Full interview after the jump!
