Hi guys,
Does anyone here happen to know what’s going on with the Quarterly? I got an email nearly a month ago saying that it’s shipping but I haven’t received it yet. I tried using a contact form on the main site as well as Twitter and no response for a week now.
Don’t mind if it comes in a month, but any kind of communication would be highly appreciated.

I also got a message that the issue was shipped and would arrive in 3-5 days and I still have nothing. The email was sent on 3-8-12 I have been waiting for the 1st issue since before thanksgiving and even though I’m patient waiting 4 month is quite unreasonable. I believe that everyone should be compensated in some way. Any other business would compensate their customers in some way after a huge mess like this.
Same here. Email sent on March 8th says magazine was sent, should arrive in 3-5 days. Today is the 20th still no magazine. I think at least another email with an update would be a courtesy. I suspect that the magazines may have been mailed via media mail in which case it can take up to 15 days or more.
@criography: I’ll look up your order and get an email over to you with its status this afternoon.
@aronwp: Sorry about the delay; in hindsight the pre-order period began too early in the process. Now that I better understand the time requirements for a print product (and physical shipping) something like this, I’ll be able to lay out more accurate timelines for future issues.
It seems for some the shipping has taken more than the number of days I estimated for, which is something else I’m now finding out. Sorry for the miscommunication, I’ll be clearer when future issues go out.
@mvaughn: It’s definitely in the mail, and was sent on the 8th. That was the day the major US shipment went out, and I’m discovering that the delivery time is a bit longer than I initially thought. Sorry about the miscommunication, I’ll get another email out to let people know it may take a few extra days.

Please check on my. I got an email on March 8 saying it had shopped – but still nothing.
Got my magazine today! I got my shipment notice March 8th so that would be 14 days until delivery. This is consistent with a U.S.P.S. media mail rate so we know what to expect next time.
Could you please check mine as well? I’m in the same situation as the others who posted – got an email around the 8th but still haven’t received the magazine. Thank you.
According to the email dated March 8th:
Your Quarterly magazine has shipped!
This email is to confirm that your copy of The WPCandy Quarterly Issue #1 has shipped. Please allow 3-5 days for your magazine to arrive.I have still not received my magazine, 19 full days (16 shipping days) later. Needless to say, I’m a bit disappointed that the shipping costs $5 per issue when it was sent media mail, which probably costs about $3.50 to pack and ship. For $5 an issue, these should have been sent priority with a way to track the shipment. In fact, before the post office recently raised their rates to $5.15 for flat rate, it only cost $4.95 to ship via priority mail flat rate letter option, which includes free padded packaging for the shipper.
Now, I must say that I was pretty hesitant to purchase the flagship issue because of the shipping costs but thought I’d give it a try anyway. Now, over four months later, I’m wishing I hadn’t purchased it. This was announced in late November and we were told it was to ship in January. Not only did it ship late, I still don’t have it! I consider myself a patient person by nature but, dude, this is pretty unreasonable. The only thing I can say is that I’m glad I didn’t go for the full year subscription. That way I will only suffer the disappointment once instead of four times.

Thanks for letting us know about the missing magazine Ziomara — it was definitely sent, but something must have gone wrong after it left our hands.
