| vvikeb | I’m looking for help with a plugin that I have installed and which I’m not getting any response from the developer nor at wordpress.org. I’m just trying to understand what the problem might be. Basically, I updated a plugin and now buttons within its admin area send me to a “Cannot load core/whateverfile.php”. I’ve clear my cache, deactivated other plugins, and installed the old version but nothing has fixed the issue. I’ve checked the FTP and it shows the php files. I’m at a loss. I don’t want to dilute the purpose of this forum so I understand if this is not acceptable. I’m getting the run around every else anyways. Thanks. |

| Ryan Imel | That definitely sounds odd. Are you sure you only modified the plugin and not any core files or anything? Which plugin? |

| vvikeb | I simply updated the plugin and WP to the latest versions. The plugin is store locator plus. It get’s even more odd. I’ve run countless scenarios to try and solve: re-install, wipe db, re-install older versions, etc. I’m using Page.ly for this site which is now on my suspect list as I’ve added the plugin to another site hosted elsewhere without an issue. The problem is I don’t think either the host or plugin developer wants to take credit for the issue. I’m just a WP user doing what WP users do. Nothing fancy! It is one of those issues that I could switch to another host and all would ‘likely’ be fine, but then I’d never know what caused the issue which I’m determined to find out. Though, I’m hopeful another WP user will provide some enlightenment. |

| vvikeb | Issue resolved. This was an ordeal, but in the end here’s my take. First, the plugin was not the issue; however, the developer took more than a week to even acknowledge my request for help. Interestingly, the issue was a conflict with the host’s plugin; consequently, Page.ly did a fantastic job of helping me address every avenue and then digging into their own plugin to help me fix the issue. I reinforced my appreciation for great support and my disdain for poor support. Would I recommend Page.ly – Yes! |
