In this episode of First Taste, Brian and I take a look at the recently released Dashter WordPress plugin. Dashter is a social Twitter plugin that at first glance (I thought) appeared to be little more than a Twitter app within the WordPress Dashboard. After this First Taste, though, Brian may have convinced me there’s more to the plugin than that.

The video is embedded at the top of this post’s page.

If you’ve played with the Dashter plugin you can share your thoughts in the comments. Along with those comments, toss in a few in respond to this question: Do you like First Taste so far? Do you enjoy watching casual videos where members of the WPCandy team try out new WordPress stuff?

If you haven’t seen the First Taste coverage of WordPress 3.3, you should probably watch that. If you’ve already seen that, then this could interest you. Brian and I didn’t really get a chance to check out WordPress 3.3 on the iPad, so this morning I present to you the first First (After)Taste, which basically amounts to me recording myself playing around with WordPress on the iPad. You’re welcome.

Among the new features that WordPress 3.3 brings to the table is iPad/table compatibility. If you don’t have a tablet or iPad to try this out, this video will show you what you’re missing.

The video is embedded at the top of this post’s page.

How much playing around with WordPress 3.3 have you done? Have you ever tried to use WordPress on the iPad before?

I’m excited to introduce a new show to WPCandy today called First Taste. In this series of videos a couple of us will sit down for a few minutes with a new theme or plugin and just try it out. It’s not a full written review, but it’s also more than just a quick look. Get a preview of a product, a feel for how it operates, and hear our candid thoughts in each episode.

In this episode of First Taste, Brian and I take a look at the new Pagelines Framework 2.0 that was released yesterday. I’ll be publishing a proper review shortly, but in the meantime you can have a First Taste in the video posted after the jump.

The video is embedded at the top of this post’s page.

Have something you’d like to see on First Taste?

First Taste is a fun way to get candid thoughts on a product out without doing a lengthy written review. We’ll likely be doing them quite a bit. If there’s a theme or a plugin you’d like to see on the show, or if you have a product you’d like to send our way, get in touch at .
