The Sweet Plugin: Login Lockdown

Today’s Sweet Plugin will be handy if you’re interested in various ways to protect your WordPress site. It’s called Login Lockdown, and can restrict repeated login attempts based on criteria that you set.

By the way, if you love The Daily Plugin, and would like to become a producer for a few episodes (yup, credits worthy of IMDB), we’ve made it so you can! Just visit this page and see the “Wheelbarrow” image and instructions for more.

The video is embedded at the top of this post’s page, with more about the plugin below.

Login Lockdown

Login Lockdown gives you a few options for limiting login attempts. For instance, you can choose how many attempts someone should have to login before being locked out for a period of time that you also set. This can limit the danger your site faces from someone trying to log into your site over and over again.

Video recorded with version 1.5 of Login Lockdown, running WordPress 3.1.3.

Is your plugin worthy?
