Today’s Sweet Plugin is another one I’m using here on WPCandy. It’s called Comment Rating, and allows our readers to rate comments on posts with a thumbs up or a thumbs down.
The video is embedded at the top of this post’s page, with more about the plugin below.
Comment Rating
Comment Rating is nice because it works right out of the box, so to speak, but it’s also easy to customize if you need to make it fit your own design. For a quick demonstration of Comment Rating, check out any of the posts on our site with a couple of comments.
Video recorded with version 2.9.28 of Comment Rating, running WordPress 3.2.

What a cool plugin! I’ve been wondering how to install this functionality myself for a Q&A website I’m planning to build. The final sticking point is a way to reward users who consistently write helpful comments and get upvoted. Then the top 5 or top 10 users can be featured in a sidebar widget.
Can’t wait to try this out! Thanks to Bob King for developing this plugin, and Ryan Imel for telling us about it.
It looks like this plugin was pulled from the repository: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/comment-rating/. It’s still up on trac though: http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/log/comment-rating
Do you know if there a security issue was found?
