This episode of Aftertaste immediately follows this week’s Weekly Theme Show and sees the crew casually discussing WordPress hosting choices, going back and forth with the chatroom, and choosing the episode title.
On this week’s episode of The Weekly Theme Show, we discuss buying themes via a plugin like WP App Store, the results of the ThemeThrift project, and all sorts of options and dashboard notification fun stuff. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?
This episode is sponsored by the upcoming WordPress service Raft.io and the Typecase plugin by UpThemes.
This episode of Aftertaste took place directly after WPCandy Podcast #32 and, of course, consists of Brian and I discussing WordPress topics a wee bit more than we did on the podcast proper. I’d also say we did a good bit of catching up, since we honestly haven’t’ chatted in a while.
Just in case you hadn’t had your fill of yesterday’s panel on WordPress themes and the ThemeForest marketplace, this episode of Aftertaste directly followed the panel discussion. Mike McAlister had to step away, but Chris Molitor and Jake Caputo discuss a few more topics before the chat room and the mic were switched off.
In this, the first ever episode of the Roundtable Podcast, I chatted with Mike McAlister, Jake Caputo, and Chris Molitor. (Pippin Williamson had a baby today — congrats Pippin! — so we’ll get him on a future episode of the show.)
Mike, Jake, and Chris have all built their businesses by selling WordPress themes in the ThemeForest marketplace. Naturally, we discussed the nature of marketplaces and selling themes quite a bit. We talked support, typical customers, pricing, building your own brand, and theme business models. In other words if you like WordPress theme discussions, you should like this episode.

Be sure to check out Mike’s Okay Themes, Jake’s ThemeThrift, Chris’s themes on ThemeForest, and of course Pippin’s plugins when you get a chance. And keep an eye on the Stream broadcast schedule so you know the next time we’re planning to go live with a new podcast recording!
This episode of Aftertaste follows WP Late Night #8, and is a real doozy. We dig into the WordCamp topic a little bit more, as you might expect, and spend a few minutes planning for the future of WP Late Night. You know, just in case you’re into that sort of talk.
Frederick Townes, creator of the W3 Total Cache plugin and Senior Technical Advisor at Mashable, joined in last night for WP Late Night #8. We followed up on the WPMods and ThemeThrift discussions from last week, went over freelancer prices and books about WordPress, and finished up with a bit of a back and forth over issues facing WordCamp organizers. We were also briefly joined by Tony Perez (who wrote last week’s blog post that had everyone talking) when we discussed WordCamps.

In this episode of Aftertaste the Weekly Theme Show hosts unanimously select the episode’s title, get kind of hung up on wizards, and find out just how tired Nick is.
You can also grab the show on iTunes, via the RSS feed, or download the MP3 file directly. I would also recommend the master shows feed of all WPCandy podcasts, either on iTunes or via RSS.
In this week’s episode of The Weekly Theme Show, we discussed Weaver II (again!), Artisteer, theme options, and we discovered a wizard. In a WordPress theme.
Seriously.

This episode of Aftertaste takes place after the recording of WP Late Night #7. We thank Josh for joining us for the episode, choose our episode title for the week, and Brad has even more fun with his sound board.
You can also grab the show on iTunes, via the RSS feed, or download the MP3 file directly. I would also recommend the master shows feed of all WPCandy podcasts, either on iTunes or via RSS.
