    • OH SNAP!! lol I’d say Woo would have done a lot better if a post on the blog and Twitter/Facebook etc would have happened. I found this page today because Appthemes had a blog post on their site reminding people to come vote.

    • I feel that promoting this contest on WooThemes Twitter account would have been a bit like “cheating”, as then it would have been a contest of who has the most Twitter followers. That’s why we didn’t tweet about it, an most likely the reason we lost ;)

      • I applaud your sportsmanship, integrity and good-natured approach. If voting were based on things like theme quality, variety, usability, etc — I’m sure Woo would still be in the mix. That bracket would look a lot different.

      • Well, thats kind of the point… the person with the most votes wins, more customers, more coolness and awesome themes etc equals more followers. Not posting about this contest anywhere (that I saw) just shut out those that would have voted for you otherwise. Seeing you guys out of the contest already really throws off my picks :p

        • Agreed… But since this contest uses the “Selection” format to determine the winner (same as Academy Awards, presidential elections, or anything based on polls/voting), calling it a “Tournament” (which is a different format and is based on different methods) can cause some confusion. There’s nothing wrong with either format. I think it just comes down to a naming thing. But hey – it’s the first one! Not bad for an inaugural contest.
