Introducing the WPCandy Dashboard Feed plugin

We know, we know—you just can’t get enough of WPCandy. Any slight separation from the daily awesome we generate here is just too much for you to take. We get it.

Okay, not really. But if that was you in any way, or (slightly more likely) you would like WPCandy content streamed directly into your WordPress Dashboard, we have just the thing for you.

Download the WPCandy Dashboard Feed plugin from the plugin directory today.

This is what the widget looks like, by default, on your Dashboard.

As of today, you can download the WPCandy Dashboard Feed plugin from the WordPress Plugin Directory. This new plugin adds a new widget to your Dashboard called “Latest posts from WPCandy”. By default this widget will pull in the five most recent posts, but you can also configure the number and category of posts that display.

Configuring WPCandy Dashboard Feed

The configuration options are pretty straightforward with this plugin. You can control the number of feed items that display (I recommend 5-10 or so) and which post category displays.

The plugin offers very straightforward options. Simple is good.

And that’s pretty much it. Did you want more?

A few ideas for you

Just in case you’re wondering “how the heck will I use this thing?” I have a few ideas for you.

  • Add this plugin to your own sites so you don’t miss anything.
  • Add this widget to your clients’ sites to keep them educated and up-to-date on the latest in WordPress. Who knows, they might even learn something!
  • If you run a blog network, why not add it there as well? Keep your own community informed.

How do you think you will use it? Like it? Hate it? Let us know in the comments.
